Fabian Dekker is senior researcher and project manager at SEOR. He obtained his PhD as a sociologist at Erasmus University Rotterdam, performing research on the consequences of a more flexible labour market on social security. He has gained a lot a experience as a researcher and project manager at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Utrecht University, Verwey-Jonker Institute, Regioplan, the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR) and Start Foundation.
Fabian specialises in the following themes: changes in the labour market, quality of work and explaining employer behavior. He has published books on freelancers, youth unemployment, the middle class and a textbook on the labour market for higher vocational education. He is also an editorial member of the academic journal Beleid en Maatschappij.
SEOR is an independent social economic research organisation linked to the Erasmus School of Economics and provides research and advisory services to both public and private sector clients worldwide.
